CUMMINS CONVERSION PARTS
I have a F Power Stroke 7. I was wondering it it is technically and financially feasible to consider a DT installation in a few years versus overhaul of my 7. I think the DT is about 10 inches longer and 10 inches wider than the the 7. Heavier also. Since the engine is longer I assume one would have to cut out more of the firewall to make it fit. However, the turbo is on the star board side of the DT Regarding infrastructure, I have the Dana 60 solid axle. Relative to cooling capacity I wonder if a larger radiator would have to be installed.
It is staring to appear expensive. I had considered doing an engine swap in my 86 F from the 6. After talking to a few guys who had done swaps and looking at what was all involved in fire wall and frame modifications as well as height issues I opted out. Guys do swap engines but its never as easy as it seems. Transmissions, drivelines and all your electrical hookups just add to the head aches of a swap. Another thing to consider is the age of the truck. When it is time to think about replacing the 7.
It might be a better option to look at making the move to something a little newer like a powerstroke in a 99 and up year. I have a 99 and am going on judt over the million KM mark and really no serious issues yet.
There are alot of trucks in that age out there for a reasonable price and you still have the reliability of the 7. If you want an internal dog house and the body raised off the chassis you could make anything fit.
Actually rebuilt our Gasser in 09 after deciding any diesel was way more expensive up front and I had work for it. I am still looking for a 6V53 detroit, shorter and about the same weignt as the with adequate HP. I would go to the DT way before theLighter shorter and adjusted correctly almost the same horsepower. Many school busses had the and allison trans, and can be bought cheap.Sure, ad-blocking software does a great job at blocking ads, but it also blocks useful features of our website like our supporting vendors.

Plus, they have been around since at least so there should be good availability. Had to cut Fan Bushing short by 3 ins. Super good on fuel, and Smouth running engine! Super Moderator. Steel Soldiers Supporter.
Supporting Vendor. I drove a six wheeler in the early eighties the DT is a pooch no low end torque only time that engine has power is when its wound up. The and cat V8s would drive through anything off road not the DT. If you want to stay on the road they work pretty good but they vibrate sitting so bad while idling you could watch the screws back out of the headliner in the international S series I was driving while getting loaded or waiting for a light.
Last edited: Nov 29, Actually, they've been in trucks since 77, and in tractors since True, a stock may seem a little doggy, but once you play with the pump, or replace the pump with a better one, it'll be a screamer.

Gluten is a protein in wheat, barley, and rye. It's what makes baked goods that wonderful moist, spongy texture. It's also used as an additive in a lot of packaged food products, such as powdered sauce mixes and many others. Some people have an autoimmune condition called celiac disease that makes them unable to tolerate gluten.
Some people without celiac disease also have symptoms related to gluten and are considered gluten sensitive or gluten intolerant.
Going gluten-free is a major lifestyle change that takes a lot of commitment. While it can be overwhelming at first, it does get easier as new habits take hold. For example, some fast-food places use grilled chicken that contains gluten. That one really stunned me.

If even meat isn't always safe, you know you've really got to keep an eye out. It seems like you should just be able to peruse the ingredients list, or even just the allergen statement that many labels have. Alas, it's not that simple. Allergen labeling requirements include wheat, but not gluten specifically. While wheat is the primary source of gluten in our food supply, it's not the only one by a long shot.
All kinds of seemingly innocuous things contain gluten as a food additive. These can include maltodextrin, natural flavors, food starch, and a host of others that you'll find in all kinds of foods. Especially while you're adjusting your shopping habits, it's a great thing to have printed out and in your purse or wallet:As you find products that you can eat, write them down. That way, you'll save time at the grocery store instead of having to read the nutrition label every time.
I didn't have anything like this when I ended up having emergency surgery, and my poor husband had some frustrating experiences trying to find things for me.
Another issue you need to be aware of is cross-contamination. The simple act of putting a gluten-free bagel in your toaster can transfer small amounts of gluten to this previously safe food.
